Our New General Manager

FORT BEND COUNTY MUD 131 is Pleased to Announce and Welcome our New General Manager, Mrs. Dara Eng Cook!

Dara Cook comes with over 10 years of municipality experience. Her journey first began in 2012 at the City of Houston’s Municipal Court’s department. While working in the City’s Muncipal Court, Dara’s customer service experience and leadership skills led to an opportunity for her to serve as a Supervisor for the City’s water department.

Mrs. Cook became interested in the operations of utility services and eventually served as a District Manager for Harris County MUD #50, a similar entity as Fort Bend County (FBC) MUD #131. Her experiences in local government and her management in the operations of the City of Pearland’s Utility Billing were very instrumental in FBC MUD #131 hiring Darla as our new General Manager.

In addition to her experiences in the operations of small and large local governments, Mrs. Cook is proficient in implementating procedures, and reliable in addressing challenging circumstances – all while maintaining optimism and creativity.

Dara reports to the MUD board, and will serve as a liaison and primary point of contact to the board’s consultants and contractors. She will be overseeing day to day MUD operations which includes the parks and use of park facilities, trash pickup and recycling, budgeting for the MUD, water functionality, water operations, and any other business of the MUD. She will also available to assist district residents as needed.
